The ‘holy matrimony’ here in focus is Greece where everyone seems to be focusing on.
‘Anyone’ refers to events which would lead to a Greek default.
‘Pronouncing Man and wife’ means there will not be a Greek default in the near future. Through the journey there might be obstacles that may lead to a ‘divorce’ and let’s hope it doesn’t happen – unreasonable behavior!
Since receiving the vote of confidence, the ‘wedding ceremony' would continue to a point before they are pronounced ‘Man and Wife’.
Between now and July 3rd , if there's anyone here that can show a just cause why they should not be lawful joined in this holy matrimony, let them now speak or forever hold their peace. There will be a break of silence while everyone looks around.
Should it were to happen, Greece would default and triggers a chain reaction where dominos will start to topple. Again, let’s hope this also doesn’t happen. Read Notes at bottom.
There are two major hurdles here and minor hurdles in between.
· The release of the next tranche of 12B Euros to help Greece pay its debts
· A much bigger bailout package for its survival through 2011 and 2012.
While plan A is in progress. The drama continues.
Notes. As you probably know last night in the morning US session, the US major markets nose-dived on the surprise release of oil by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the US tapping the strategic petroleum reserve. The markets reversed direction when news hit the headlines that Greece has agreed to a set of austerity measures. My opinion is that the primary focus is still on Greece.
